I am a teacher at Him City Montessori School, Lucknow where I teach English to 2nd and 3rd graders. Mine is low-income private school where students come from financially backward communities. Most parents have not had the privilege of receiving a formal education and work as labourers.

My students love coming to school and I love teaching. It is very sad to see them struggle to communicate in English, so I want to guide them through this problem. Something which both my students and I love is storytelling. It fascinates me to see how engrossed my students get when I start narrating a story, so I want to leverage their interest to improve their English language skills.

Teach A Class is helping me do this by giving me Pratham’s Library-in-a-Classroom. This portable library comes with 100 storybooks classified according to a students reading fluency. The best part is that my students will be able to relate to these stories easily  and be exposed to things they have never heard of or seen before. 

An education without storybooks is dull and incomplete, and you can help paint my student’s worlds bright by donating to my campaign.
